How to Cook Barnyard Millet
🍚 Idli/Dosa Recipe
- Step 1: Soak barnyard millet. Separately, soak urad dal with fenugreek seeds overnight.
- Step 2: Add poha to soaked grains abd Grind to Batter
- Step 3: Ferment the Batter overnight
- Step 4: Steam in an idli steamer or for 10–12 minutes. Let cool slightly, then remove and serve with coconut chutney or sambar
🍽️ Barnyard Millet Pongal
- Step 1 : Roast ½ cup millet and ¼ cup dal separately.
- Step 2 : Pressure cook with water, salt, and spices until soft.
- Step 3 : Mash lightly, add ghee, garnish with fried cashews.
- Step 4: Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
